AB Hernandez is in a league of his own.
The California high school junior and transgender is not slowing down when it comes to destroying the competition. Hernandez is an outspoken transgender athlete competing in girls’ track and field.
Earlier this month, Hernandez won CIF titles in the girls’ long jump and triple jump at the Southern Section finals.
He wasn’t finished.
The CIF Southern Section Masters Meet, specifically the Ford Track and Field Masters Meet, is held annually at Moorpark High School in Moorpark, CA, and Herandez was there.
AB Hernandez, who was born a male, jumped 19′ 3.5″ while the “second” place jumper, Kaylee Best, a female, jumped 19′ .75.”
Footage from his jump showed just how high and far the young transgender can get.

AB Hernandez Gets Upstaged After Victory

AB Hernandez has been the center of storylines during the past few weeks of the CIF Southern Section high school track and field postseason.
Standing in first place a few weeks ago, junior trans athlete AB Hernandez of Jurupa Valley posed with competitors to take pictures on the podium.
As soon as Hernandez and the other girl stepped off the podium, however, he would find himself being upstaged.
Reese Hogan, who is 16, didn’t let coming in second to a male-born transgender competitor prevent her from standing in the top spot on the podium during placement at a state track and field meet.
The crowd wildly cheered for Reese Hogan.
